UPFRONT

Portfolio company Koyfin (Fund III) was founded in the US six years ago because Rob Koyfman believed there was an opportunity to democratize the way investors research stocks and market trends. He'd been told by experienced entrepreneurs about the “startup journey” that lay ahead with its ups, downs, and many surprises; but he never imagined helping his team navigate a war as one of those turns in the road.

Most of the Koyfin team is based in Ukraine and they're the ones that have built Koyfin, starting with a blank page. The Russian invasion has deeply affected the team and their families. Many were forced to flee their homes, while others are stuck in cities like Kharkiv and Kyiv, unable to escape because it's too dangerous to travel.

Koyfin is doing everything they can to support their employees including paid time off, help with relocation and support services.

Due to an outpouring of support from users, with many reaching out to ask how they can help support Koyfin employees, a campaign to raise funds for the team in Ukraine has been set up.

100% of the money will be donated to Koyfin employees to help them and their families navigate the current war. We greatly appreciate your support to help our team members in Ukraine get through this crisis.

YouTube | Ali Abdaal

One of the questions Ali is often asked is how working full-time as a doctor, running a YouTube channel, podcast, and other businesses, does he do it all? The answer is a defined workflow for turning out videos, podcasts, blogs, and newsletters. He uses the free version of Notion to capture, organize, and produce content.
