Beehiiv (Fund IV), the newsletter platform that powers this newsletter, has raised $12.5 million in a Series A round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Social Leverage. The company plans to use the funding to expand its product, bring on more writers, and build out its revenues. The company's platform allows creators to write, publish, and distribute newsletters, as well as track their performance and monetize their audiences.

Tiger Global has been under pressure to generate liquidity after its pandemic-era shopping spree. The firm initially tried to sell a portfolio of assets packaged in a strip sale, but a lead buyer didn't emerge. Tiger has now opened up its full portfolio to individual bids in search of liquidity. This goes to show just how challenging the secondary markets have been for asset managers in recent months.

Tyler Denk is the co-founder and CEO of the previously mentioned Beehiiv (Fund IV). In this article, Tyler shares his insights on how to build a successful SaaS company, including the importance of having a clear vision, building a strong team, and focusing on customer success. He also discusses the challenges of scaling a SaaS company and how to overcome them.
